PM Ciolacu hails private sector’s solidarity with people in areas affected by floods

Published on

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu on Monday welcomed the solidarity of the private sector with the Romanians in the areas affected by the floods produced in the eastern part of the country.

„Today, I should have gone to Buzau, where an important building materials factory was to reopen. I understand that this group will make a donation consisting of construction materials for the restoration of the most affected houses. I want to thank them for joining the government effort. It is a gesture worthy of respect and I am convinced that they will be followed by other commercial companies and NGOs. Because this really means solidarity,” Marcel Ciolacu told an extraordinary government meeting.

The PM had been scheduled to participate on Monday afternoon in the reopening of the Wienerberger brick factory in the village of Satuc, Buzau County.
