PM Ciolacu, meeting with the counterpart Mitsotakis: Romania and Greece must be connected, including by joining Schengen Area

Romania and Greece must be connected, including by joining the Schengen Area, in order to fully use the region’s potential, said Thursday, prime minister Marcel Ciolacu, who had a meeting, at the Victoria Palace, with the Greek prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

„Romania and Greece have a special bond and together they can play a key role at the regional level. I was happy to meet again the Greek prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in Bucharest and to discuss joint projects in the field of energy, transport or digital. Romania and Greece must be connected, including by joining the Schengen Area, in order to fully use the potential of our region,” Ciolacu wrote on his Facebook page.

The Greek prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, is participating in the EPP Congress organized in Bucharest 6-7 March.
