PM Ciolacu: Minimun wage set at 4,050 lei after talks with employers and trade unions

Published on

The government will approve this week the minimum wage to be enforced as of January 1, set at 4,050 lei, after discussions with employers and trade unions, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced on Monday.

He was asked whether the government will make a decision to raise the minimum wage this week.

„Yes, but it will, as you know, be enforced as of January 1. What’s the urgency? There is something that I am not aware of. It has been set – 4,050 lei, after talks with employers’ associations and trade unions,” said Ciolacu, after he participated in the Summit of Municipal Public Authorities in Romania.
