PM Ciolacu: Pensions under 3,000 lei no longer taxed as of October 1

Published on

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced on Wednesday that pensions under 3,000 lei will no longer be taxed as of October 1.

„We have decided that all pensions under 3,000 lei will no longer be taxed. We are talking about a measure that will apply from October 1 for about 3 million pensioners,” Ciolacu said at the beginning of the government meeting.

He added that the ministers of Labour and Finance are already working on the necessary legislative act, so that the Government can adopt it on time so that pensioners will receive their pensions with the new taxation ceiling starting October.
