PM Nicolae Ciuca: Solidarity is the necessary oxygen for the prosperity and security of the EU

Published on

Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca says that solidarity is the oxygen necessary for the prosperity and security of the European Union and it is needed also to manage inequalities within the EU, according to Agerpres.

„Solidarity is one of the fundamental values of the European Union. It is the oxygen necessary for our prosperity and security. We need solidarity to manage the inequalities in the European Union; we need solidarity to help our neighbours; we need solidarity to promote global values and interests,” Ciuca twittered on Wednesday.

In a speech on the state of the European Union delivered to a plenary meeting in Strasbourg of the European Parliament, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said that Vladimir Putin will fail, and Ukraine and Europe will win, if the EU finds the necessary solidarity.
