„I am going to Chisinau to reaffirm Romania’s solid and unequivocal support for the Republic of Moldova, on all levels. We remain the firm voice supporting the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, we continue the implementation of the 100 million euro Agreement, which generates impact projects, and we will accelerate our interconnection in vital areas such as energy, infrastructure and transport. All these efforts are for the benefit of the citizens on both banks of the Prut. However, the reconfirmation of the European option by the citizens, in the elections of October 20, is crucial for the continuation of the European course of the Republic Moldova, the only way to development and a better life,” said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, quoted in a Government press release.

The agenda of the official visit will include the meeting of the Romanian Prime Minister with his counterpart, Dorin Recean, at the end of which the two Prime Ministers will make joint press statements and participate in the handover ceremony of the school minibuses donated to the Republic of Moldova by the Romanian state.

Also, the head of the Executive will have meetings with the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, and with the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Grosu.
