PNL must urgently leave negotiations as long as tax increases are being discussed (former PM Citu)

Published on

The National Liberal Party (PNL) must urgently leave the negotiations as long as there is talk of increasing taxes, believes former Prime Minister Florin Citu, emphasizing that this must happen regardless of what tax is in question.

„Taxes, with the PNL in government, increased every year between 2022 and 2025. The result? We see it now: investors flee, entrepreneurs suffocated, fiscal credibility collapsed. If the PNL accepts another round of taxes now, then ‘liberal’ no longer means anything,” Florin Citu wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

He emphasizes that the PNL received a clear signal in the elections, namely without socialist measures.

„You cannot ask for right-wing votes and govern like a left-wing party!”, the liberal also wrote.
