PNL’s Ciuca on presidential polls: Not all ranked first won the election

Published on

National leader of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Nicolae Ciuca said on Sunday evening, about this year’s presidential election, that not all those who were ranked first in the polls went on to win.

Asked on a Digi 24 show to comment on incumbent NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana topping the polls so far as winner of the upcoming presidential election, Ciuca said: „It is very good, because not all those who were ranked first in the polls won the election. I don’t think he was one at the top of the polls and won. It’s a matter of dynamics.”

The PNL national leader also said that „it is almost clear to everyone that PNL will have a candidate” in this year’s presidential election.

„Right now, the way things look right now, we’re going to have our own candidates, which is normal,” Ciuca said.
