Politehnica Bucharest Partners’ Gala shows visible impact of academic, economic environment working together (rector)

Published on

Politehnica Bucharest National University of Science and Technology organised the Partners’ Gala on Thursday, an event dedicated to those who contribute to training tomorrow’s specialists, supporting innovation and ensuring the sustainable development of society. Rector Mihnea Costoiu highlighted that this year companies have made direct investments of 10 million euros in the higher education institution.

‘At the end of this year our university has 41,000 students and the confidence we receive from the business environment is stronger than ever. It is an important signal for society: when academia and industry work together the impact becomes visible. Owing to these partnerships we end the year with direct investments of 10 million euros made by companies in the university, investments dedicated primarily to our students and the research activities we carry out together. We are deeply grateful for this support,’ Costoiu wrote on Facebook.

According to him, the Politehnica community brings together more than 1,000 partners from academia and industry.

‘One of the central elements of the operating model we propose for the universities of the future is a genuine symbiosis between academia and the economic environment,’ the rector said. AGERPRES
