President Nicusor Dan discussed on Wednesday in Odessa with representatives of the Romanian community in southern Ukraine, whom he assured that Romania „remains close to them through constant dialogue, concrete actions and institutional support”.
„Today, in Odessa, I had a very good discussion with representatives of the Romanian community in southern Ukraine. We addressed some of the important issues they are facing: the reopening of the Romanian Consulate, access to education in Romanian and the need for constant support to preserve their cultural identity. Romanians in Ukraine need to know that they are not alone. Romania remains close to them through constant dialogue, concrete actions and institutional support. I will be the president of all Romanians wherever they are,” Nicusor Dan wrote on Facebook.
Romania’s president took part on Wednesday in the fourth Ukraine – South-East Europe Summit in Odessa.
