Romania’s President Nicusor Dan on Thursday sent a message of condolence after a tragic plane crash at an airport in the Indian state of Gujarat.

„I am deeply saddened by the tragic plane crash in India, where so many people lost their lives and so many families and friends lost loved ones. On behalf of the Romanian people, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wish them strength in these heartbreaking times. We stand with all those affected by this disaster,” Dan wrote in a social media post.

An Air India plane with at least 242 passengers on board crashed shortly after take-off at an airport in the western Indian state of Gujarat on Thursday, local media reported.
