President Iohannis: Only Ukraine will decide when, how and what to negotiate

Published on

President Klaus Iohannis declared on Tuesday that only Ukraine will decide „when, how and what to negotiate” in the context of the war, showing that this is the official position of Romania and the EU, and some Romanian politicians must „read the press review more frequently to find out these positions”, according to Agerpres.

„Ukrainians are paying the price of blood in this war and we must all accept the idea that only Ukraine will decide when, how and what to negotiate. This position is our official position, it is the official position of the EU and probably some dignitaries from here must read more frequently the press review to find out these positions,” Iohannis said at the Cotroceni Palace in the joint statement with his Georgian counterpart Salome Zourabichvili.

The head of state was asked about the recent statements of the Minister of Defense, Vasile Dincu.

Vasile Dincu declared on October 8 that negotiation represents the only chance for Russia to make peace with Ukraine.
