The private sector in Romania has demonstrated an extraordinary capacity for adaptation and innovation, contributing to maintaining a high standard of medical care, President Klaus Iohannis transmitted on Wednesday, at the European Gala of Private Hospitals, through a message.

„The partnership between the state and the private sector remains a crucial vector for the development of quality and for the improvement of results in the field of health, for reform, reconstruction and sustainable development”, added the head of state, in his message, transmitted by the presidential adviser Diana-Loreta Paun.

The president emphasized that „in the field of health we have a common objective: ensuring adequate access to quality medical services and improving the patient care experience”.

„The relationship between the public and private systems must be governed by collaboration and the exchange of good practices. Only through this partnership can we create a resilient, efficient and fair health system for all our citizens. Private providers promote a care system adapted to the current dynamics, with modern infrastructure and able to generate innovative skills, bringing new and effective solutions for the benefit of patients”, Iohannis showed.

Also, the president recalled that the experience of the pandemic highlighted the relevance of this sector for the continuity of specialized diagnosis and monitoring in difficult circumstances.

„In the face of the current global challenges, the role of private hospitals is more important than ever, by promoting sustainable care models and personalized services”, emphasized Iohannis, adding that the European Gala of Private Hospitals „represents an opportunity to celebrate excellence and, at the same time, an opportunity to reflect on future directions”.
