President Nicusor Dan welcomed by Modovan counterpart Maia Sandu in Chisinau

President Nicusor Dan was welcomed on Tuesday in Chisinau by his Moldovan counterpart Maia Sandu. The two heads of state are scheduled to have one-on-one talks, and also at the meeting of the two delegations, followed by a joint press conference.

The Romanian president also has a meeting with the Republic of Moldova’s Olympiad students on his agenda, and is slated to lay a wreath at the Memorial of Stephen the Great and Holy later in the day.

At 18:00 the Romanian head of state will meet with Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Igor Grosu and with Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean, after which he will attend an official dinner offered by President Maia Sandu.

In the evening, Presidents Nicusor Dan and Maia Sandu will participate in the event ‘The Shared European Future of Romania and the Republic of Moldova’.
