President of Moldova is paying a visit to Romania on Thursday. Maia Sandu to meet Klaus Iohannis

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will be in Bucharest on a working visit on Thursday, according to Agerpres.

The Presidential Administration informs on Wednesday that President Klaus Iohannis will meet, at the Cotroceni Palace, with his Moldovan counterpart.

According to the same source, the political consultations of the two presidents Klaus Iohannis and Maia Sandu are part of the comprehensive framework of close bilateral and European cooperation, as well as Romania’s clear and firm support for the Republic of Moldova and its resilience.

„Discussions will focus on joint projects of strategic interest in the fields of energy, transport, health, education or information society, with an emphasis on initiatives aimed at connecting the Republic of Moldova with the European Union, with real and concrete benefits for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. The two heads of state will also discuss Romania’s current status and support in relation to the Republic of Moldova’s European aspirations,” says the Presidential Administration.

The two presidents will also have an exchange of views on security challenges, as well as ways to manage the economic, social and humanitarian effects of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The President of the Republic of Moldova is visiting Romania at the invitation of President Klaus Iohannis.
