President-elect Nicusor Dan said he could take the oath before Parliament next Monday, provided that the Constitutional Court is to validate the results of the presidential elections on Thursday.
„If nothing extraordinary happens, there will be a session of the Constitutional Court on Thursday at noon, in which the elections will be validated and the oath will be taken before Parliament, very likely on Monday at noon,” Nicusor Dan told B1 TV on Monday.
He said he could make his first foreign visit to Brussels. „Chisinau, Brussels or Washington. Probably Brussels,” Nicusor Dan said.
The President-elect indicated Valentin Naumescu, Corneliu Bjola, and Iulian Fota as possible advisors in the field of foreign policy.
„I worked with some people who helped me in terms of foreign policy vision. To the extent that they want to get involved, with great pleasure. (…) Mr. Naumescu, Mr. Bjola, Mr. Fota”, he explained.
Nicusor Dan reiterated that one of his objectives will be to clarify responsibilities for the way the November 2024 presidential elections were conducted.
„What happened in the November elections was a failure and, as president, I want to clarify this issue as quickly and thoroughly as possible, because it is not normal that after six months, since November, to only know that we have a businessman who gave a million euros to some influencers. This is pretty much the result. As president, I will try to clarify responsibilities for what happened in the November elections”, Nicusor Dan said.
