President-elect Nicusor Dan underlines that correcting the budget deficit and drafting is currently the main priority, and a plan to reduce public spending cannot be postponed any longer.

All the information circulating in the public space regarding the structure of the future government or possible nominations for ministerial posts are, at this moment, „mere speculation”, writes Nicusor Dan on Facebook on Wednesday.

„The main priority in this period is to correct the budget deficit, and the dialogue with political parties will focus exclusively on finding solutions to this. The development of a concrete plan of measures to reduce public spending is essential and can no longer be postponed,” the president-elect said.

Nicusor Dan maintained on Tuesday his view that it is not necessary to increase VAT, but to reduce spending in order to solve the budget deficit problem.
