Save Romania Union (USR) Deputy Iulian Bulai voted on Friday in Warsaw, where he is serving as coordinator of a delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
The PACE delegation will observe the first round of the presidential election in Poland, which will take place on Sunday, May 18, USR reports.
„I voted in Warsaw for a better Romania. For a Romania that is well represented in the world. Where education and respect for every Romanian are priorities! I voted for balance and decency, for a president who can unite us. I urge you to go vote! The future of our country depends on the vote these days,” said MP Iulian Bulai.
A day earlier, the USR deputy had announced he would travel to Poland for the first round of the presidential elections.
„I will lead the election observation mission on behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). The mission includes over 30 parliamentarians from several European countries, who will observe the presidential elections together with the [Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights] ODIHR mission. Romania and Poland share a common history and have a European future together,” Bulai wrote on Facebook.
