Nicusor Dan, the independent candidate in Sunday’s second round of the presidential race, obtained 6,168,642 votes (53.60%), according to data published on the website of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP), after centralizing all 20,085 minutes.

Coming second is George Simion, the candidate of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), who obtained 5,339,053 votes, or 46.40%.

More than 11.6 million Romanians voted in the second round.
