PresidentialElections2025/George Simion: Constitutional Court continues the coup d’etat, calls supporters to stay by him

Published on

AUR (Alliance for the Union of Romanians) president George Simion claims that „CCR [Constitutional Court of Romania] continued the coup d’etat” and calls on his supporters to stand by him „today and in the coming weeks.”

„CCR continued the coup d’etat! All we have to do is fight! I call on you to stand by me, today and in the coming weeks!” wrote the AUR leader on his Facebook page on Thursday.

The Constitutional Court of Romania unanimously rejected on Thursday the appeal filed by AUR leader George Simion regarding the annulment of the elections won by independent Nicusor Dan.

The CCR is set to hold a solemn session at 12:00 pm to confirm and validate the results of the presidential elections.
