Price cap on civil liability insurance policies extended by end of 2024

The government will extend the capping of RCA (civil liability insurance) policies for motor vehicles until the end of the year, prime minister Marcel Ciolacu announced on Wednesday, at the beginning of the Executive’s meeting.

„We are extending the price cap on RCA policies for another three months, until the end of 2024. We make this decision at the proposal of the Financial Supervisory Authority,” Ciolacu said.

This will prevent „the appearance of imbalances in the market and the increase in the prices of these car policies,” he added.
