Prime Minister-designate Eugen Tomac begins consultations with political parties: on Monday with the PNL, USR, and PSD

Prime Minister-designate Eugen Tomac will begin a series of political consultations with parliamentary parties on Monday, with a view to securing support for the parliamentary approval of the government he intends to propose.

According to the schedule released Sunday by his communications team, Prime Minister-designate Eugen Tomac will meet with the PNL at 11:00 a.m., with the USR at 2:00 p.m., and with the PSD at 5:00 p.m.

The consultations will take place at the political parties’ headquarters.

At the same time, the prime minister-designate will hold press conferences after each round of consultations, the communications team noted.

Discussions with the parliamentary parties will continue on Tuesday according to a schedule to be announced, the source added.

President Nicușor Dan nominated MEP Eugen Tomac for the position of prime minister on Thursday.

According to the Constitution, the candidate for prime minister must, within 10 days of his nomination, seek a vote of confidence from Parliament on his program and the entire list of the Government.
