Prince Radu is in Dusseldorf from Monday to Wednesday to support the Romanian military team at the Invictus Games 2023, write Agerpres.
TeamRomania, made up of 20 veterans wounded in theatres of operations, is competing alongside their colleagues from 21 other countries: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, the Republic of Korea, Ukraine, the UK, the United States of America and the newly entered competing nations Israel, Colombia and Nigeria, the Royal Family of Romania said in a post on its Facebook page on Monday.
At the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, which began on Saturday, the 20 veterans who make up the Invictus Romania team will be joined by nine veterans from the reserve team, 12 veterans from the extended team and 14 veterans who are honorary members of the team.
The Romanian soldiers are accompanied by their families and representatives of the Ministry of National Defence.
Prince Radu, under whose patronage the Invictus Romania Volunteers Association is placed, also accompanied the Invictus Romania military to the Games in The Hague last year.
