PSD must continue what it has always done – to stay close to the people and make public policies for them, declared Sorin Grindeanu on Friday, after being elected as party president.

„Thank you all for the trust. Today we are setting off, we have a lot of work to do. No one has the strength that PSD has, we do not have to invent anything new, we have to do what we have always done, to stay close to the people and make public policies for Romanians. United for Romanians, strong only together. So may God help us”, Grindeanu said at the end of the PSD Extraordinary Congress, held at Romexpo.

Grindeanu was elected with 2,787 votes „for” and eight abstentions by delegations at the PSD Congress. He ran with the motion „United for Romanians. Strong, only together”. The Congress also validated the new leadership team proposed by Sorin Grindeanu. AGERPRES
