Social Democratic Party (PSD)’s Alexandru Rafila declared on Monday that the date of the PSD Congress has been set for November 7, and the leadership team will be made up of the president, five first vice-presidents, eight regional vice-presidents and 12 vice-presidents in various fields of activity.

„The meeting of the National Political Committee of the Social Democratic Party has been today. The main decision that was taken during this meeting is related to setting the date of the congress, which is on November 7. The day before, there will be a new National Political Committee, which will approve a whole series of amendments to the party’s Statute, which were discussed today and new proposals from the county organizations are also expected,” Rafila said at the end of the PSD leadership meeting.

He mentioned that the mechanism by which the congress will be organized has also been established, namely the election of a new president and the management team.

„It has been established that, in addition to the president, the management team will include five first vice-presidents, eight regional vice-presidents and 12 in various fields of activity. I believe that it is a balanced choice, everyone agreed and I am glad that the main message that emerged from these debates was unity”, said Rafila. AGERPRES
