Social Democratic Party (PSD) will go to the consultations at Cotroceni Palace on Thursday, after which an internal referendum will be called to decide whether or not to enter the government, the party’s spokesperson Florin Manole said on Tuesday after the informal meeting of the National Political Council.
„The purpose of today’s meeting was for PSD members to be informed about the discussions with the political parties and the president. As you know, there is an already announced calendar with consultations starting on Thursday morning. PSD will participate, as I said from the beginning, with the idea of being constructive and finding solutions. After Thursday’s consultations take place, PSD will convene the internal referendum that we have been talking about since the beginning of the discussions regarding the future government formula. There, PSD members will express themselves in full knowledge of the facts, with all the options on the table, with all the concrete proposals, with all the results of the negotiations so far at the disposal of the members to decide whether or not we enter the government together with the other partners,” said Manole.
