PSD’s Ciolacu: Bucharest needs a person who knows administration, Gabriela Firea, best choice

Published on

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, Social Democratic Party (PSD) Chairman, on Tuesday said that the decision for the PSD and the National Liberal Party (PNL) to run their own candidates for mayor was „difficult,” but it was the right solution and said that Gabriela Firea is the best choice for Bucharest residents who „want less show, but more solutions to the daily problems they face.”

The leader of the Social Democrats pointed out that Bucharest needs a person who knows administration, and this can only be Gabriela Firea.

„Bucharest needs a person who knows administration and is able to fix from the first day of office the things left behind by Nicusor Dan. And this could only be Gabriela Firea, the chair of the Bucharest PSD organisation! She is the best choice for the citizens of Bucharest who want less show, but more solutions to the daily problems they face,” said Ciolacu.

The coalition decided on Monday night to propose separate candidacies for mayor, respectively Gabriela Firea – PSD and Sebastian Burduja – PNL, in order to maximise the electorates of the two parties, according to political sources.
