The Social Democratic Party (PSD) is working on a technical document regarding investments under the „Anghel Saligny” program, announced the interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, who specified that on Wednesday representatives of the National Union of County Councils of Romania (UNCJR) will have a discussion on this topic with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
He reaffirmed that „Anghel Saligny” represents a „red line for the PSD”, because investments from this national program must continue.
Grindeanu met on Monday, at the PSD headquarters, with representatives of the County Councils and with the mayors from the counties where the PSD does not have county council presidents.
He conveyed that „the correct order of things is the following”: „We discuss the rectification, what amounts of money we have available, the Minister of Finance closes the discussions with the European Commission related to the deficit. So, we build this rectification having the real data on the table, after which we talk about the possible fiscal measures in the second package, some that may have effect until the end of the year and through which we see what savings are made, so that ‘Anghel Saligny’ can continue. That is the PSD line – it is a red line”.
