Interim national leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), Sorin Grindeanu on Friday posted a congratulatory message on the Independence Day of the United States of America, in which he underlines that the Romanian-American bilateral relationship is based on respect and a strong strategic partnership.

„Common values, trust and partnership! Today we celebrate both the National Day of the United States of America and the strong bond between Romania and the USA, a relationship based on respect and strengthened by a strong strategic partnership. Happy 4th of July! Happy Independence Day!” Grindeanu wrote in a social media post.

PSD also posted a congratulatory message for Americans on its social media page: „On the occasion of the National Day of the United States of America, we are sending our most sincere congratulations and wishes for prosperity to the American people. The strategic partnership between Romania and the U.S. remains a central pillar of foreign policy based on trust, shared values, and expanded cooperation in key areas such as security, stability, and prosperity of both nations. Happy Independence Day!”
