The president of the PSD, Marcel Ciolacu, sent a message on the occasion of the start of the new school year that „toilets at the end of the yard are a shame” and must disappear definitively in a European country, according to Agerpres.
„Open schools and kindergartens! No restrictions! This is the normality of the beginning of the school year, with parents and grandparents who are with their children and grandchildren on the first day of school! With a lot of emotion and hope, with whispers of encouragement in the ear and without separation at the school fences. It is the first step to forget these long and difficult two years, with an extremely poorly managed pandemic that has left deep scars on children. Things have changed in this respect, but it is not enough. We must understand that #RomaniaEducata must work for everyone, not just for the privileged elites. All children, including those from low-income families, must have access to quality education,” Ciolacu wrote on Facebook on Monday.
He added that investments in school infrastructure are essential and that they need to continue.
