The CEO of Raiffeisen Bank Romania, Zdenek Romanek, a bank with Austrian shareholders, sends a message to the bank’s customers, on the occasion of the Winter Holidays, in which he shows that the bank fully supports Romania’s accession to the Schengen area. We have made a firm commitment to support the authorities in the next stages of the process, he states.

„Thanks to the trust you give us, we are today a strong, well-capitalized bank with a solid liquidity position. Undoubtedly, together, we will continue our development in 2023, on these sound foundations. In the last two weeks, together with the 5,000 colleagues from Raiffeisen Bank, we went through a period marked by a lot of dissatisfaction, generated by the context of accession to the Schengen area”, says the bank’s representative in the message.

„We fully support Romania’s accession to the Schengen area. We have made a firm commitment to support the authorities in the next stages of the process. We know that you, our customers, are also disappointed with this interim result. The Raiffeisen team discussed this situation with some of our customers, who openly expressed their dissatisfaction. He spoke to each of them. Honestly, from Romanians to Romanians, who want the best for the country and for its development”, says Raiffeisen’s CEO.

„We are a bank where good Romanian professionals work, who come to work to meet your needs – through simple digital services and through financial consulting designed to support your personal or business projects. I wish you happy holidays and a good new year!”, the message states.
