Right Force’s Orban says presidential candidacy natural in his career

Published on

Right Force party leader Ludovic Orban said on Tuesday that a presidential candidacy is „natural,” „normal” in the context of his political career.

Orban participated in the consultations at the government on the date for holding parliamentary elections.

„I have made it very clear that I am a man who considers that my candidacy in the presidential elections is a normal, natural candidacy. My entire political career has brought me to a position where I am sure that I know what I have to do as president of Romania and especially that I know how to do what needs to be done much better than other candidates could do at the moment,” Orban said.

On the other hand, he added, it is „a strategic decision regarding the presidential and parliamentary elections that does not only target the the Right Force party, but a wider spectrum of political parties that are part of the centre-right.”
