The APPR Forum and the Association of Fruit Producers and Exporters of the Republic of Moldova (Moldova Fruct) signed a collaboration protocol for the development of the agricultural sector between the two countries.

According to a press release the APPR Forum sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday, the partnership marks the opening of a new chapter in professional cooperation between the two organisations and aims to strengthen relations between farmers and processors in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

Through this protocol the two organisations aim to facilitate the exchange of information, experience and good agricultural practices, to promote innovation, research and digitalisation in farms and processing units, to support the development of agricultural education and professional training, to intensify institutional dialogue on agricultural and environmental policy, and to develop joint projects and initiatives at European and international level.

The protocol was signed in Chisinau on 27 November in the presence of representatives of the horticultural sector in the Republic of Moldova attending the ‘Fruit Business’ conference, a landmark event for the fruit industry, as well as a delegation of farmers who are APPR Forum members.

The agreement provides a structured framework for cooperation that will support the implementation of projects dedicated to farmers, processors and exporters in both countries.

The protocol signed in Chisinau strengthens regional cooperation in agriculture and opens new opportunities for modernisation and market access. The two organisations reaffirm their commitment to active cooperation to create a favourable environment for innovation, investment and professional exchange between Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
