Romanian Embassy in Italy to host awards gala for talented Romanians abroad

On Saturday, the Romanian Embassy in Italy will host an awards gala of the Propatria International Festival, a cultural initiative to promote young Romanian talents outside Romania, under the coordination of the Propatria Romanian Association in Italy, according to Agerpres.

The awards ceremony will be accompanied by a piano recital performed by musician Simone Anelli, Romanian ambassador to Italy Gabriela Dancau reported on Friday in a Facebook post.

Under the motto „Music without Borders” and the artistic direction of Mara Dobrescu, a well-known Romanian-born pianist who has settled in France, the Propatria International Festival returns November 9-29, 2022 with a travelling edition that will move from Rome to Bucharest, London, Paris and Vienna.

An important cultural landmark, the festival will present for the first time outside the borders of Italy, where it was born, excellence awards in the countries where it stops and give public concerts in Italy, the UK, France, Austria and Romania.

The 12th edition of the Propatria Internazionale Festival – Giovani Talenti Romeni young Romanian talents festival has the support of the Department for Romanians Everywhere, in partnership with European diplomatic and cultural institutions.
