The Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has verified and submitted for settlement from the state budget an amount of 11.15 billion RON, by 346 million more than on January 27, for energy suppliers, according to Emergency ordinance (OUG) 118/2021 and OUG 27/2022, which establish the compensation scheme for the electricity and gas consumption, ANRE informs in a press release, according to Agerpres.
Thus, as regards OUG 118/2021 (November 2021 – March 2022), 80 companies submitted 345 applications, of which 288 were approved, 55 being considered ineligible. The amount sent to the Ministry of Energy for settlement is 2.412 billion RON, the total requested amount being 2.422 billion RON.
Based on OUG 27/2022 (April 2022 – March 2023), 89 companies submitted 942 applications, with 271 applications for domestic customers and 432 for non-domestic customers being approved. A number of 13 applications for domestic customers were declared ineligible.
The amount sent to the Ministry of Energy, non-household customers, is 5.4 billion RON, and the one sent to the National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection (ANPIS), household customers, amounted to 3.3 billion RON, with a total amount of over 8.7 billion RON being sent for settlement.
Currently, 226 applications submitted for settlement are being analysed and as the operators upload the data and supporting documents requested by the assigned experts, their verification and determination will be carried out with maximum efficiency, said Dumitru Chirita, ANRE president.
