Romanian firefighters intervening to extinguish wildfire in Megara, Greece

Over 20 Romanian firefighters with seven intervention technical means are intervening on Wednesday to extinguish a wildfire in Megara area in Greece, according to the Inspectorate General for Emergency Situations (IGSU).

The mission is carried out in an integrated system alongside Greek firemen and the module from the Czech Republic and is aimed at limiting the spread of the fire and eliminating the outbreaks.

The forces are acting in Koumintri to locate the fire, the quoted source points out.
