Romanian PM Ciuca attends launching ceremony of commercial exploitation of Greece-Bulgaria Interconnector

The Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca attended on Saturday morning, in Sofia, Bulgaria, the ceremony of launch of the commercial operation of the Greece – Bulgaria Interconnector, alongside a numerous audience, according to Agerpres.

The event was also attended by Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Galab Donev, President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic’s Government, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, and the President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev.

According to a press release from the Bucharest Executive, on Saturday morning Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca had bilateral meetings with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, and Acting Bulgarian Prime Minister Galab Donev, with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and with the Prime Minister of the Government of the Hellenic Republic, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The official delegation accompanying Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca to Sofia includes the Minister of Energy, Virgil Popescu, the general director of Transgaz, Ion Sterian, and the general director of Romgaz, Razvan Popescu.
