Romanian president Iohannis, Finland’s PM discuss bilateral relation, Euro-Atlantic partnership development

Published on

The development of bilateral relations and the strengthening of the Euro-Atlantic partnership were the main topics of President Klaus Iohannis’ talks with Prime Minister of Finland Petteri Orpo, who was welcomed at the Cotroceni Palace on Thursday.

At the end of the meeting Klaus Iohannis described the talks, in a post on the X network, as „very good” for the further development of the „excellent” bilateral relationship between the two countries, as well as the partnership within the EU and as NATO allies.

I appreciate Finland’s contribution, as a new NATO member, to strengthening the Eastern Flank while supporting Ukraine, the president added.
