Romanian pugilist Florin Ulmeanu grabs the gold at European Cadets Boxing Championships in Maribor

Romanian pugilist Florin-Nelu Ulmeanu won the gold medal in the 57 kg category, on Friday night, at the European Schoolboys and Schoolgirls Boxing Championships in Maribor, Slovenia, after defeating Kosovar Ensar Badalaj on points in the final, decision 5-0. Marian Adrian Chirita lost the cat final, write Agerpres.

54 kg to the Armenian Arsen Darbinian and remained with the silver medal. The awards record of the Romanian delegation was completed by the bronze medal obtained by Adrian-Costin Costache, at cat. 66 kg, after losing in the semi-finals. Romania fielded 16 athletes (10 men and 6 women) at the European Schoolboys and Schoolgirls Boxing Championships in Maribor, reserved for boxers born in 2009 and 2010.
