Romanian stock indices close mostly in the red on Friday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Friday’s trading session with almost all indices in the red, and 34 million RON (7.033 million euros) worth of transactions, according to Agerpres.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, dropped 0.25 percent to 11,838.41 points, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 37 shares lost 0.30 percentage points.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 0.13 percent lower, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK dipped 0.01 percent.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies inched up 0.52 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG gained 0.15 percent.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market lost 0.32 percent.

The most traded stocks on the Regulated Market were OMV Petrom with 6.973 million RON worth of trading, followed by Banca Transilvania with trades worth 5.176 million RON, and Fondul Proprietatea with 3.8 million RON.

According to BVB, the best performing issuers were Condmag (+7.69 percent), SIF Muntenia (+2.52 percent), and Nuclearelectrica (+2.28 percent).

Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were the Targoviste Steel Plant (-10.26 percent), Bermas (-6.78 percent), and Aerostar (-6.45 percent).
