Romanian TransportMin Grindeanu, Lithuanian counterpart Skuodis about need for supply lines in EU’s eastern part

The Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, analyzed, together with his counterpart from Lithuania, Marius Skuodis, the common need to identify new transport routes and to develop the existing ones, so that the necessary supply lines in the eastern area of the European Union can be ensured, according to Agerpres.

„I emphasized the particularly important role of Constanta Port, as the gateway to the European Union, of flows of goods from Asia and the interest to use, with greater frequency, the multimodal transport,” Sorin Grindeanu wrote on his Facebook page.

The Minister of Transport emphasized that „we can thus combine maritime and fluvial transport (on the Danube) with rail and road transport”.

„In this sense, we agreed to identify new possibilities for collaboration in the railway field between the related companies of the two states,” the minister added.
