Secretary of State Ana Tinca mentioned the progress made by Ukraine in ensuring respect for the rights of persons belonging to national minorities.

„She pointed out that the protection of the right to education, as well as the right to perform religious services in the mother tongue is a fundamental right. She called for the continuation of the constructive involvement of the relevant Ukrainian authorities in solving specific problems signaled by the Romanian community in Ukraine, taking into account its interests, also referring, in this context, to the developments in the case of the Metropolitan Chapel of Chernivtsi,” the MAE release shows.

It has been agreed to maintain a constant and applied dialogue on all topics of interest, with a view to identifying solutions for the benefit of the Romanian minority in Ukraine, the cited source further specifies.
