Romania’s economy increased in the first nine months of 2022 by 5.0pct as unadjusted series, and by 4.3pct as seasonally adjusted series against the similar period of 2021, while in Q3, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) maintained its growth in real terms by 1.3pct in relation to the previous Quarter, according to the provisional data (1) published on Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), Agerpres reports.
Compared to Q3 of 2021, the Gross Domestic Product recorded an increase in Q3 of 2022 by 4.0pct for the unadjusted series and by 4.7pct for the seasonally adjusted series.
„The seasonally adjusted series of quarterly Gross Domestic Product was readjusted as a result of the revision of the estimates for Q3 2021 and there were no recorded differences as compared to the version published in the Press release no. 288 of November 15, 2022,” the INS mentions.
The Gross Domestic Product – seasonally adjusted data – estimated for Q3 of 2022 amounted to 357182.9 million lei current prices, increasing – in real terms – by 1.3pct against Q2 of 2022 and by 4.7pct against Q3 of 2021.
The Gross Domestic Product estimated for the period 01.I-30.IX 2022 amounted to 1056340.0 million lei current prices, increasing – in real terms – by 4.3pct against the period 01.I-30.IX 2021.
As unadjusted series, the GDP estimated for Q3 of 2022 amounted to 390134.3 million lei current prices, increasing – in real terms – by 4.0pct as against Q3 of 2021.
The Gross Domestic Product estimated for the period 01.I-30.IX 2022 amounted to 999993.6 million lei current prices, increasing – in real terms – by 5.0pct as against the period 01.I-30.IX 2021.
