Romania’s future is linked to the special relationship we have with the American nation (USR’s Lasconi)

Published on

The Save Romania Union (USR) chairwoman, Elena Lasconi, announced that she had a meeting, on Wednesday, with the United States ambassador in Bucharest, Kathleen Kavalec, noting that they addressed the strategic partnership, as well as topics regarding the future of Romania, the role of women in society, the rights of minorities.

Lasconi wrote on Facebook that the discussion also covered the main components of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries, with an emphasis on the economy, investments, energy, defense, foreign policy, rule of law and press freedom.

The future of Romania is linked to the special relationship with the American nation, Elena Lasconi added.

„Romanians are among the most pro-American Europeans because we value freedom, a right we won with blood 35 years ago. The relationship between the two nations is extremely strong. The future of Romania, as we all imagine, is related to the special relationship we have with the American nation, a relationship that expands and becomes more complex every day,” Lasconi also wrote.
