Romania’s industrial turnover (domestic and non-domestic) increased in nominal terms by 7.1% in the first four months of 2024, y-o-y, according to data published on Monday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
Also, in April 2024, the industrial turnover (domestic and non-domestic) decreased by 0.3% in nominal terms on a monthly basis, while y-o-y it was up 18.8%.
In the first four months of 2024, the turnover in the industry rose in nominal terms by 7.1% y-o-y on increases in manufacturing (+8.2%), while mining and quarrying decreased by 17.7%.
By large industrial groups, increases in turnover were recorded in the capital goods industry (+13.1%), durable goods industry (+7.3%), consumer use goods industry (+4.1%), intermediate goods industry (+3.9%) and energy (+3.0%).
The turnover in the industry decreased by 0.3% in nominal terms in April 2024 on a monthly basis as a result of a decrease in mining and quarrying (-5.6%) and manufacturing (-0.1%).
By large industrial groups, decreases were recorded in energy (-33.8%), the durable goods industry (-4.1%) and capital goods industry (-0.7%). Increases were recorded in the consumer goods industry (+10.3%) and the intermediate goods industry (+4.4%).
The turnover in the industry increased in nominal terms in April 2024, y-o-y, by 18.8% on increases in manufacturing (+19.4%) and mining and quarrying (+2.5%).
By large industrial groups, increases were recorded in the capital goods industry (+26.7%), durable goods industry (+21.1%), intermediate goods industry (+21.1%) and consumer goods industry (+14.7%). Energy fell by 12.4%.
