Romania’s meat and processed meat exports up 35.4% January through October last year

In the first ten months of last year, Romania exported meat and processed meat products in the amount of 457.8 million euros, a value increasing by 35.4% compared to 2021, according to the data centralized by the National Institute of Statistics, Agerpres informs.

The highest exports were recorded in April 2022, respectively 50.9 million euros, and the lowest in January (34.5 million euros).

Regarding the imports of meat and processed meat products, they increased by 31.9%, amounting to 1.228 billion euros. The highest imports were recorded in September (154 million euros) and the lowest in January (83 million euros).

Thus, a deficit of 770.4 million euros was recorded for this product category in the period January-October 2022.
