Her Majesty Margareta, the Custodian of the Crown, and Prince Radu, together with Princess Elena, welcomed the first carolers of this year in the Royal Village at the Savarsin Castle, Agerpres reports.
Members of all ages of the Crisana Folk Ensemble from Oradea and the Florile Muresului Ensemble from Vladimirescu, Arad county, sang carols and recited popular verses, representing the local tradition, according to the Royal Family’s Facebook page.
Also, the carolers came dressed in popular family costumes, with models preserved from generation to generation, the cited source states.
Her Majesty received a traditional bagel as a gift, together with wishes for health and a happy New Year.
The guests were then invited to the Tea House, to spend a few moments with the hosts, the Facebook page of the Royal Family informs.
On Thursday, at 11:00 a.m., Her Majesty Margareta, together with Princess Elena, will offer gifts and Christmas packages to some families in Savarsin. Also on Thursday, from 2:00 p.m., in the Royal Village, the Royal Family will receive a delegation from the city of Sinaia led by the town’s mayor, and from 5:00 p.m., will offer gifts to the employees of the Royal Castle in Savarsin.
