The S.O.S. România delegation will not take part on Thursday in the consultations with President Nicușor Dan at Cotroceni Palace.

‘Given that, under the provisions of the party’s statute, only the party president may lead official delegations, and in view of the invitation being issued at such short notice and the fact that party president, lawyer and MEP Diana Iovanovici-Șoșoacă is in Strasbourg, we are unable to attend under the statutory provisions. However, we can take part next week, when the party president is in the country,’ representatives of the party said in a statement.

The head of state has convened the parties and political formations represented in Parliament at Cotroceni Palace on Thursday to hold talks on the nomination of a candidate for prime minister.

Talks with S.O.S. România (SOS) were scheduled for 12:00.
