Romania will further stand by the Republic of Moldova, supporting the consolidation of its institutions and the acceleration of its EU integration, Senate President Mircea Abrudean declared on Thursday after meeting with Moldovan Minister of the Interior Daniela Misail-Nichitin.
„Today I had a meeting with Daniela Misail-Nichitin, Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Moldova. We discussed the excellent cooperation between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, a key pillar for the region’s stability. The meeting takes place just one day after the discussion with Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Igor Grosu, and reaffirms our staunch commitment to supporting the European path of the Republic of Moldova,” Abrudean wrote on Facebook.
He mentioned that the election of September 28 sent a strong message to the entire region.
„The exemplary mobilization of citizens, the remarkable civic spirit and the flawless organization of the process, despite the numerous challenges, proves the democratic maturity of the Republic of Moldova and its determination to pursue its European path with dignity. Romania will stay by the side of the Republic of Moldova, supporting the consolidation of its institutions and the acceleration of its integration with the European Union,” Abrudean wrote. AGERPRES
