The acting president of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, on Sunday highlighted in his message sent on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Romania becoming a member of the North Atlantic Alliance that our country will remain an active member, dedicated to the common values and objectives of NATO.

„We celebrate 21 years since Romania became a member of the North Atlantic Alliance, an essential step for us in strengthening national security and our strategic profile. From participating in international missions in Afghanistan and the Western Balkans, to hosting the missile shield at Deveselu and the Euro-Atlantic Resilience Centre, Romania has proven consistency and commitment. The NATO Day is a moment of reflection and gratitude for the partnership that guarantees our security and peace. Romania will remain an active member, dedicated to the common values and objectives of the Alliance,” Abrudean sent in his message published on Sunday on the Senate website.
